7QT #19: blog themes, Doctor Who, & numbers

Best day of the week - it's Friday! Linking up with Jen @ the funnest party a Friday could have. Internet-wise, that is.

1.
If you like wonderful crime shows, brotherly love, and math that will fly miles above your head but make you feel like you could maybe in some bizarre alternate universe actually like math, you should be watching Numb3rs.

It's a crime drama starring these two brothers, Don and Charlie Epps. Don is a FBI agent and Charlie is his adorable younger brother, a math professor at Cal Sci who helps Don with his investigations using MATH. It's like all your favorite dreams come true in a television show.

It aired from like 2005 to 2010 so you can watch the entire show on Netflix. Right? RIGHT? If you haven't seen it before, go check it out (if you're in the mood to binge a show...which I always am).

Okay, so I'm suuuuuper indecisive and flighty when it comes to blog themes. I know, I know, there's nothing more annoying than somebody who changes their appearances all the time. But I can't help it! I've had this theme for only like 6 months and I'm already itching to change it up. What say you? Do you hate hate hate it when somebody switches their theme all the time?

I'm trying to make sense of my basic HTML coding and attempting to work up my own blog theme from it. Who knows - I might get discouraged and fail completely, so you wouldn't have anything to worry about. But if you have something to say, air it out. I'm all virtual-ears.

Our best couple-with-a-new-baby-friends are moving away this weekend. (Cue sad music - think world's saddest violin.) wah wah. They had a daughter just 3 weeks after we did, and we've been friends with them for a long time (the mom, Ashley, and I have been friends since we were in 4th grade!) and we are sad to see them go.

I'm a little worried that we're going to have a hard time filling their place. Anyone seen How I Met Your Mother's storyline of how Lily & Marshall are trying to find a couple to "date"? We are going to be in that boat here very quickly and I'm a little nervous.

Obviously we have other couples who are friends, but none quite as close as these two. Any tips on how to find and keep these sorts of friends?? I'm all ears.

Even though I'm gradually building muscle and endurance from doing P90X, my joints and such still are feeling pretty wibbly sometimes. And it's not necessarily when I work out - it's when I get up from standing, or I kneel down to play with Kate, or at random times like that. I never had this before having Kate and I do realize that you get joint-loosening stuff all up in you when you're pregnant, because duh, birth.

But is that normal for post-pregnancy bodies this far after having said baby? I don't want to google it because I am terrified of what I'll find. Just curious if other mamas had experience with it postpartum.

6.
Ohhhh speaking of wibbly - as in, wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey stuff....DOCTOR WHO COMES BACK AUGUST 23.

Yep, I'm that excited.
New doctor? Thoughts, you Whovians out there (ahem CAITLIN ahem)???
I can't wait!

7.
I should really get back to work because yep, writing this in advance still means I'm procrastinating something else. Although I am waiting for an email to continue a project, I could probably be doing something else.

Til next time, lovelies - check out more at ConversionDiary!

  2. LOVE that Tennant GIF! I'm so excited to meet the new Doctor. In fact, probably too excited! I've also heard good things from a guy who got a bootleg copy of the new episode. He said you'll totally be convinced Capaldi is the Doctor by the end of the episode. Eeeee! Can't wait!!
