Felix Joseph, seven months

Oh man, do I love you, Felix Joseph. I mean, can you even with the heart-wrenching grin in those photos??? Because he's asleep right now and looking at this photos just makes me want to go wake him up and snuggle the crap out of him.

Let's see, what has happened in the last two months since my five month post?

Age: 7 (and a half) months

Weight: uhhh, he's asleep right now so I'm not gonna wake him up and weigh him but he was like 17  lbs at his 6 month appointment

Height: see "no clue" above, was 26" at his appointment at 6 months

Size: mostly 9&12 month stuff, his arms are way too long to fit in 6 month stuff

Firsts this month: crawling!!! (it's a very cute army crawl, beginning and ending with rocking back and forth on his knees), almost can go from crawling to sitting, hilarious grin (see Christmas photos below), the separation anxiety has begun, lots of baby food, oh and also THREE TEETH

Other notes:
-- We are on a great rhythm (knock on wood!!) for his sleep. Most days he wakes up around 6:45/7:00, naps from 9-11, naps again at 1-3 before school pickup, and is in bed by 6:30 or 6:45. The early night is kind of annoying sometimes...but not very often. I love already having him on a two-nap schedule. Makes me almost ready for a one-nap schedule, but that won't happen for awhile I think.
-- Compared to my other babies, he just likes baby food but doesn't love it like the girls did at this age. He's a huge fan of sweet potatoes, carrots, plain cereal, mum-mums, and the occasional tiny bit of other stuff we've given him. I'm lazy and honestly haven't tried that much although I know he's ready for more because his chewing motions are impressive!
-- He has THREE TEETH and is working on a FOURTH. This is mind-boggling to me because neither of the girls got a tooth until they were 11-12 months old. He got the first two bottom ones a month ago and just now is working on the top two. I keep catching sight of them and still being surprised that he has them! They are super adorable though so no real complaints there.
-- He really is the sweetest little thing. His biggest fans are his big sisters, who CANNOT get enough of him most of the time. Kitty can't wait every day to come home from school and play with him, and no matter how cranky he is they can always get him to laugh. She also keeps saying to me "Boy babies are just so cute!" (there was some doubt in her mind that boy babies could be cute before he was born... lol).
-- Current obsessions of his include any sort of cord, random bits of paper on the ground, the corners of our rugs, the underside of our chairs and couch, etc. etc. I always forget how exhausting it is to keep up with a tiny thing that crawls really fast and will attack anything on the ground.
